Minor in Community Health:  

An undergraduate minor in community health can be obtained by the completion of 12 credit hours of CHP.  CHP 450 and 415 are strongly suggested to be included.

CHP 455      Interpersonal & Counseling Skills for Health Professionals (3)

One special topics CHP 395/495 course can count toward the minor.

CYTO 404, ENVH 301W, ENVH 401, MEDT 403W or NMED 300 may be substituted for one CHP course.

Only one course may count toward both the major and the minor.

For Completion of the Community Health minor, a student must have a minimum grade point average of 2.00 in all courses taken toward the minor.

Minor in Environmental Health: 

Suggested Pre-requisites:
      BIOL 115N/116N General Biology I + II (8 hrs)
      or BIOL 250/251 Anatomy & Physiology (8 hrs)
      CHEM 115N/116N General Chemistry I + II (8 hrs)
      Physics or Geological Sciences (8 hrs)
      STAT 130M Elementary Statistics (3 hrs)

Courses Required for Minors:
      ENVH 301W Environmental Health (3)
      ENVH 401 Occupational Health (3)
      ENVH 448 Epidemiology & Biostatistics (3)
      ENVH Elective*
      *(Must be approved by ENVH program director)

Environmental Health minors require 12 semester hours of course work with all overall GPA of 2.00
